Pelvic Floor Therapy
Our approach.
We are a team of doctoral-level therapists specializing exclusively in pelvic health and pelvic floor therapy. We help you get to the root cause of your discomfort and find lasting relief from your symptoms. We combine expert care in a comfortable and private environment. At the end of the day, we strive to provide the same level of care that we would want for our own family and friends.
Providing you with a safe space to heal.
Pelvic floor therapy is vulnerable and personal. At Nashville Pelvic Health, you’ll see the same therapist for a full hour at every session- giving you the time you need to ask questions, get hands-on treatment, learn exercises for home, and really understand what’s going on with your body and your condition. All of our appointments are in a fully private and relaxing treatment room. Our goal is for you to feel seen, feel supported, and feel better, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
Common, but not “normal.”
You’re not alone if you’re dealing with bladder leaks, pelvic pain, bowel issues, pain with intimacy, or postpartum concerns. One in three women (and many men) will experience pelvic floor issues throughout their lifespan. These symptoms may be common, but that doesn’t mean you have to live with them.
If you’ve been experiencing:
Leaking with exercise, coughing, or sneezing
A constant search for the nearest bathroom
Fear you won’t make it to the bathroom in time
Lingering low back, hip, or pelvic pain/pressure
Constipation or loss of stool
Pain or other issues with intimacy
Feeling “not quite yourself” after pregnancy
Pelvic floor therapy could be the answer you’ve been looking for.

What to expect
Your first visit is all about you: your story, your comfort, and your goals.
-
We’ll start by talking about what’s been going on, how you’re feeling, and what you hope to get out of therapy. This is your time to share your experience and ask questions.
No detail is too small or “too much.” We’ve heard it all, and our job is to listen and help you feel supported from the very start. -
Your therapist will guide you through a physical assessment to better understand what’s happening with your pelvic floor and surrounding areas like your back, hips, and abdomen.
This might include:
Looking at posture, breathing, and movement
Checking range of motion, muscle strength, and coordination
An internal exam (if you’re comfortable and it makes sense for your care)
You’ll always know what to expect before anything happens, and you can pause or decline any part of the assessment at any time. Your comfort comes first and we can go at any pace that feels right to you.
-
We’ll take time to explain what we find in clear, easy language, not medical jargon. You’ll learn how your pelvic floor works, what might be contributing to your symptoms, and what steps can help you start feeling better. Our goal is to find out what is causing your symptoms, but also to make sure we address the underlying problems contributing to your issues so that you don’t just get temporary relief, but also results that last for the long term.
-
Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your body, your goals, and your lifestyle. It might include:
Targeted pelvic floor and core exercises
Gentle stretches or relaxation techniques
Breathwork and posture support
Daily habits or small changes that make a difference
This plan will evolve as you do. It’s a team effort every step of the way.
-
If helpful, your therapist may use gentle hands-on techniques to release tension, improve mobility, or help your muscles coordinate more effectively. You’ll always know what’s happening and why.
-
You’ll leave your first appointment with a few simple things to practice at home, nothing overwhelming, just small steps that help you make steady progress between sessions.
Each visit thereafter, we will continue to build and refine a home exercise program that fits your needs and goals.
Why we take this approach
Pelvic health is complex and deeply personal. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all care or rushing to treat symptoms without understanding the root cause. This model allows us to offer more thoughtful, customized care and often leads to better long-term results.
Have questions or concerns before you start?

What our patients are saying
“She was warm, professional, and collaborative with treatment plans and timelines. She listened and took the time to explain everything… and made an experience that I feared would be awkward & uncomfortable anything but that from the first appointment onward.”
— Gill
“The work that I did with Lincoln changed my relationship with my own body and my self-confidence.”
— Stella
“After being treated here, I can finally see a way out of my chronic pain. This clinic has helped me get my life back. Pelvic floor treatment was one of the only things that helped get me immediate relief, and I have been steadily improving ever since. If you are in pain, check them out to see if pelvic floor therapy is a missing piece.”
— Drew
“If you are on the fence about what pelvic therapy even is, or not sure if it is for you- make an appointment today to find out! I was so comfortable at my very first session, talking to, and then working with Anna. She assured me I was in the right place to address my very personal matter. Extremely professional. NPH are experts at any stage of a woman’s life. I highly recommend them!”
— Joan
“I didn’t know you could need pelvic PT after a c-section and didn’t find her until my daughter was almost 2 years old. She helped me regain control of my bladder (no more accidents when laughing or coughing)! She also coached me through my second pregnancy and prepared me for a v-bac. ”
— Heather
“Nashville Pelvic Health is superior to any Physical Therapy business I have utilized. The detailed info I get surrounding my condition is informative and practically helpful. The attention to detail on my condition as well as during treatments has been instrumental to the improvement in my condition. Likewise, the treatment methodologies not only provide physical relief but also add to my understanding my condition so that I can be preventative between visits. All the therapists/staff are highly professional and provide their services in a relaxed comfortable environment. I strongly recommend NPH.”
